Sandra Santos Silva
Sandra Silva holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Brasilia and a Bachelor’s degree from São Paulo State University, having also attended an international program at Brown University. She investigated political self determination of the indigenous peoples in Bolivia in the early 2000's and her dissertation focused on the place of race in the regional integration of the Southern Cone. She currently works as chief of staff for state legislator Erica Malunguinho and her office Mandata Quilombo at the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo, focusing on the politics and policies of race and gender. Previously based in Johannesburg, Sandra Silva experienced working on social change initiatives and network articulation, particularly in Africa and in Latin America.
