Paulo Henrique Rodrigues Pereira is a Ph.D. candidate at the Law School of the University of Sao Paulo (Department of Philosophy and Theory of Law). He has a bachelor's and a master's degree in Law from the same University. His doctoral research has been dedicated to constituting a comparative legal history of the construction, consolidation, and destruction of property over the enslaved womb in the Americas. Articulating legal and social history, his research seeks to understand the formation of the legal idea of the free womb in the Americas, with a particular focus on the Brazilian case (1871). Paulo was a Visiting Fellow at Harvard History Department and ALARI. He is also a Mark Claster Mamolen Dissertation Workshop Alumnus 2020.
