 Natasha Marcus is an independent scholar who holds a BA in International Studies from Emory University and a Certificate in Afro-Latin American Studies from the ALARI at Harvard University. Her work unravels the complexities of femininity, blackness, and politics in Afro-Cuban Art. In 2021, she presented a paper entitled “The Aesthetic Resonance of Uver Solís” at the New Directions in Cuban Studies Virtual Conference co-sponsored by the Cuban Heritage Collection at the University of Miami and the Cuban Studies Program at Harvard University.
