 Mijane Jimenez Salinas is an Afro-Mexican, originally from Cuajinicuilapa, Guerrero. She is a defender of Human Rights of the Afro-Mexican People and activist for the political participation of black women in Mexico. She is currently President of Mano Amiga de la Costa Chica A.C., founder of the National Network of Afro-Mexican Youth, and coordinator of Afropoderosas in Mexico.
