 Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages and Global Studies at Idaho State University. She earned a Ph.D. in Latin American Literatures and Cultures at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2019. She specializes in 19th -20th century Latin American Literature, Afro-Latin American studies, gender, and visual culture, emphasizing the Southern Cone and Colombia. In addition, she teaches composition and advanced writing in Spanish, Latin American cinema, twentieth-century Latin American literature, critical theory, and Afro-Latin American literature for the undergraduate and graduate Spanish program at ISU.
