Flavia Santos De Araujo
Dr. Flávia Santos de Araújo is a literary and cultural studies scholar with teaching and research interests in African diaspora women’s writings and cultural production. Her teaching and research involve transnational, black/women of color feminist and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of U.S. African American/African diaspora cultural production and theory. Dr. Araújo is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Modern Foreigner Letters, a Visiting Professor at the Graduate Program in "Letras" (both at the Federal University of Paraíba), and Research Affiliate at Smith College's Africana Studies Program (Massachusetts, U.S.A.). She is passionate about poetry (reading, teaching, and writing it), the ocean waters of the South Atlantic, and her two beautifully brilliant sons.
