Dr. Danielle de Luna e Silva is a literary and cultural studies scholar. Her research interests include the many intersections between the writings of black women writers in Brazil and in the United States. She is also profoundly interested in how elements of Yoruba and Congo culture and cosmology can be found in literary texts in both countries and throughout the African Diaspora. A professor at the Department of Modern and Foreign Languages at Universidade Federal da Paraíba, she has recently co edited a special journal issue on Motherhood and Mothering ( Ártemis, Vol.31, n.1, 2021).
