 Dr. Dalila Fernandes de Negreiros is an Afro-Brazilian activist and a researcher associated with the Nuclei of Afro-Brazilian Studies at the University of Brasilia. She does research about comparative race relations in Brazil and the United States, racial equality policies in Brazil, gender and racial inequality, education, and anti-racism. She holds a PHD in African and African Diaspora Studies at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography at the University of Brasilia and a master’s degree in Development and Public Policies at Fiocruz Foundation. In 2017 she published her book: “Educação das relações étnico-raciais: Análise da formação de docentes” (Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations: Relations: An Analysis of Teacher Training). As a Black movement activist, in 2016 she became a fellow in the Fellowship Programme for people of African descent – OHCHR.
